weekend recap #2 days! 🎄🎅🏻

hi ya’ll!!! happy weekend before christmas or otherwise known as ‘last minute for everything weekend!!’ lol (complete and utter madness)

Unlike most, I was in another type of madness on Sunday … otherwise known as Gillette Stadium in Foxboro Ma (jk lol). We packed up Jax (my jeep) with endless bags of chips, salsa and beer and headed to RT 1 to wait in traffic until we found a parking lot for less than 60$ 😅 Nothing makes you feel more like a Pats fan than seeing all the extraaaaaa crazy fans while you’re driving towards the stadium (like the guy who had the 3-28 flag on his tailgate LOVE IT!!!) If you really think about it- The amount of parking lots offered up and down rt 1, the amount of people parking in each one, PLUS the amount of money it costs to park in them is truly mind boggling… but lol ya do it bc it’s all part of the experience!!!!

Once we joined the masses heading towards the stadium I started getting more and more excited. I’ve been two other games before, one preseason game & a game last year on new year’s eve….. when it was -15 degrees AND we sat 3 rows from the top row of the stadium (nightmare inducing honestly). BUT this game was something special, this year on my birthday I was given tickets from one of my former players. I had absolutely no idea what to expect, of course Ben and I had googled the seat location to see where it was (which of course fired us up) but nothing on google or seatgeek could of prepared us for how amazing this was!!! I literally am still so grateful. LOOK AT THIS!!! THOSE WERE OUR SEATS

it was completely amazing. but I don’t know if i’ll ever be able to go a game again and not sit in seats as good as these lol. On top of this being an unreal experience, i was also sitting next to … SANTA (happy rinna) It was actually so funny, towards the end of the game when people started filing out- there was this little boy in the front row of the stadium and he was completely turned around in his seat eating his sour patch kids GLARING at Santa, SHAKING HIS HEAD. I instantly started laughing, because the kid looked like he was in complete disgust that Santa wasn’t hard at work in the North Pole, rather he was at the Patriots game drinking a beer! But after a while you could tell this little kid was feeling anxious that he would get no presents on Tuesday for giving Sahe started grinning and waving at Santa. Besides the pats winning- this was my fave part of the game lol (not surprising at all)

As for today- I am so beyond thankful that I am high school field hockey coach. Thankful that I have the opportunity to touch these girls lives throughout the most influential time of their life. I put my heart and soul into my team and to be given a birthday gift like this, just shows that what I am doing, isn’t going unnoticed. Its girls like this former player who make me feel so blessed to be a coach. Of course like everything else, coaching definitely can bechallenging- but I wouldn’t trade my girls and my team for the world.
