thanksgiving day outfits inspiration for the year 2020
Hi y’all! Happy almost thanksgiving! I know this year things are a lot different but one thing that has helped keep me *somewhat sane* is getting dressed up- even if I have no where to go!
My family has made the decision to just celebrate thanksgiving the four of us, but you can guarantee I will be rocking one of these cute outfits… for at least an hour then the leggings & slippers will immediately be put on.
The first outfit is these super comfortable jeggings from American Eagle + an Aerie oversized sweater. Funny story about this sweater- i saw one of my friends at work wearing it last fall and on my lunch break I ordered it in all the colors they had left available. So let me tell you- its a good one. Its not in stock anymore but I linked similar ones! I love these mules that I got from Target a few years ago, and I feel like I started the trend with them because now everyone is rocking them!
Second outfit has got to be the coziest- another sweater from Aerie from last season, and almost every single female teacher at my school had this sweater in all different colors- at our morning huddle it was always funny to see if someone was also rocking the Aerie turtleneck sweater! I have the highly recommended, highly talked about and just overall the best spanx leggings on the planet on. These things suck everything in and don’t move, but you also don’t feel trapped in them like a can of sardines- its truly incredible. Paired them with my cheetah loafers that was definitely a splurge but I could not be more in love with a pair of shoes.
This next outfit is so cute I am immediately adding it to the #teacherootd rotation! And I feel like it could be styled so many different ways!
The last two outfits can double as a more casual thanksgiving day look- or a date night, girls night, or just an outfit to go walk around Target in because yall know we need to look our best at Target!
If I had to give you a dollar for every time you see these pair of jeans on my Instagram feed in the past year- I’d be giving you a lot of money. These jeans are hands down my favorite. Right before quarantine I had a little shopping spree and I almost didn’t get these because they were expensive but I knew I couldn’t leave the store without them- but they certainly have gotten good use! The more I look at this outfit the more I realize how ‘spensive this outfit is *insert laughing emoji* — but good news I will link all the dupes I have!
Lastly this all black outfit (all my college friends have been waiting for this) black jeans, a black body suit- snake skin booties & a long duster. This is such a sassy outfit but great one at the same time! If I could wear these booties everyday you can bet that I would- but teaching kindergarten in these just isn’t a feasible option!!
I hope this helped give all yall some inpso for this upcoming holiday and you can instantly shop these looks by following me on the LTK app!
