Shein Haul
Is it just me or is it finally starting to feel like summer! I am currently sitting outside on our patio couch writing this blog post and I am in pure bliss – just in case you couldn’t imagine what it looked like:
I’m sure we’ve all seen so many Shein hauls on Instagram, and to be completely honest- I was skeptical! I wasn’t sure about the quality of the clothes, or if they’d even come in before summer was over! But to my surprise, I ordered them on MAY 25TH- and got them yesterday! Incredible! AND I got 7 things for under 50$.
This spaghetti strap tank top is my favorite. I was looking for a thin strap tank top to wear with jean shorts, similiar to the ones from Free People and Urban Outfitters, but I didnt want to spend a crazy amount on a tank top, and 4$ seemed like a great alternative. This tank has amazing material, the straps are skinny but don’t feel like they’re gonna snap at any second! I bought this adorable white skirt that honestly goes great with the tank top! I can’t wait to wear this somewhere once the world opens back up! I was so worried that this skirt was gonna be see through, but there is lining in it!! SO yay! The tassels and the criss-cross in the front make this such a flattering fit! If you scroll through Instagram I can guarantee that you see at least 10 girls wearing biker shorts- and to be honest, I wanted to hop on this trend so bad, and I’ve tried and failed. Every pair I’ve bought did not flatter me whatsoever. So similarly to the tank, I wanted to try out a couple pairs without spending crazy money just to find out I don’t like the way they look on me! So I bought a spandex-y (yes I have my bachelors in English lol) material with mesh at the bottom for 5$ and a cotton pair that came with an over-sized black tee, (the material similar to align leggings!!!!!) for 12$. I definitely like the second pair a lot more, they land on my thighs in a flattering area, and it doesn’t feel like two sausages wrapped in saran wrap. Like that image? I had the worlds smallest expectations for this set- I was positive it wasn’t gonna fit, or that the zipper on the skirt would of been like bright purple, or the shirt was sown inside out- I don’t know what, but I just thought that this was gonna be one of those “you had one job” kind of clothing fails. But I was soooooo wrong. This is my favorite purchase from this whole haul and now I want to go buy every other set from Shein. I sized up, and it fits perfect. The material is great, its the cutest print, the cutest detailing on the skirt, its so flattering! I could go on and on. I feel like I should say, of course there are going to be purchases that are totally off- you can’t go into a mass purchase like this and expect the quality to be as great as a brand name company. The quality is good, but these items probably won’t last me years in comparison to buying something from JCrew or Loft!
