on the 8th day…

….we make sugar cookies!!!! Guys, I hope you’re enjoying this as much as I am. I thought I was in the Christmas spirit before- but by doing all these festive things I am soooo much more!!! This time of year the amount of cookies in this house is ridiculous! My mom goes to a cookie swap and brings home about 100 cookies… (not sure why I’m adding to the cookie stash…) I’m supposed to be eating healthy…. but – a cookie never killed anyone, right?!

All day at work I was planning how to decorate my sugar cookies, but there was technical difficulties with the royal icing :\ soooo only one cookie got decorated… but I think it still came out adorable (good job Joann) any secret recipes for royal icing are welcomed below 🙂

Also- my mother is a saint!! After dinner tonight, I was like “ok I’ll be back in a little, I’m gonna go to the gym! If you don’t mind could you make the icing for me so I can decorate the cookies for my blog post when I get home” With a puppy and everything else she has to do, she whipped up the frosting for me. God I love that woman- THANK YOU JOJO!!!

SO THANKFUL FOR YOU MOMMA! YOU ARE THE BEST– also look how fricken cute.

And I’m 98% positive if I decorated this Santa, it would of been unrecognizable…. so stay tuned- the rest of the cookies are going to be decorated tomorrow & uploaded to this post. Who thinks they’ll be better than JoJo’s…

I have a feeling mine might win me a spot on the show baking show “Nailed It” :\
